AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, Allentown needs volunteers (19+ years) for their Heart Ball on Saturday, February 25 from 5-10pm at DeSales University, Center Valley. Volunteers will help with registration, auction, and check out. Volunteers will only be interacting with guests and staff. Dinner will be provided. AMERICAN RED CROSS of the GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Allentown needs volunteers to join their Lehigh Valley – Bucks Chapter’s Volunteer Recruitment Team. Identify and attend outreach opportunities to educate the public about the Red Cross and how to get involved. Present available volunteer opportunities and encourage community members to volunteer. D & L NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, INC., Easton needs volunteers to help plan their Spring Dinner Auction scheduled for April 27th at Northampton Country Club. Some duties are to identify and secure sponsors and donations; help with bid item descriptions; help with general marketing of event; assemble baskets and items; help with set up day of event, and be willing to attend monthly committee meetings. PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY THERAPY DOGS, INC., Kutztown needs volunteers with therapy dogs to visit residents of Kutztown Manor from 7-8pm every 2nd Monday of the month. Help children develop reading skills at the Brandywine Library by having children read to therapy dogs. Therapy dogs needed to visit residents of Cedarbrook Nursing Home every 2nd Wednesday of the month starting at 7pm. Therapy dog teams must be registered PoYC tested teams. SACRED HEART HOSPITAL, Allentown is seeking volunteers for their busy volunteer department. Tasks include delivering flowers and mail to patients and assisting patients and staff. THE PERFECT FIT, Allentown is looking for fashion-savvy volunteers to help low-income women choose appropriate and professional outfits. Should love working with people; have patience, enthusiasm, and a love of fashion and how it can positively impact and empower women. Other duties include sorting, tagging clothing donations, and keeping boutique organized and appealing. Light lifting required, must be able to stand for approx. 3 hours, and be knowledgeable about current style and business casual clothing trends.
