Jeanel and Bruce, Happily Engaged, Soon to be Married, Very Much in Love! A local love story brought to you by The Inn at Bowman’s Hill. 

How did you meet each other?

Bruce’s college roommate asked Bruce to be a wing man at a board game night since he had his eye on a cute girl and wanted to spend some time alone with her. One Bruce saw Jen he had no problem doing his duty and keeping the girl’s friends entertained especially since he couldn’t take his eyes off Jen.

How long have you been together?

We officially started dating 5 months after we met and our 4 year anniversary of dating will take place on July 11th.

 What do you love most about your partner?

Bruce is romantic and intelligent

What is the most romantic thing you have each ever done for each other?

Bruce took me down the main streets in Bethlehem, PA and to the Moravian Christmas concert choir. Afterwards, he took me out to The Melt in the Promenade Shops and we had drinks and dessert. He suggested a late night walk to the middle of the promenade where there was a huge Christmas tree and while I was gazing at the tree, I heard him drop his wallet. I turned at the sound, to see Bruce kneeling on one knee and holding the most gorgeous ring.

Do you have a favorite local spot to go for a special night out?

Since we live in different cities our favorite DC spot is CoCo Sala. This restaurant serves chocolate in every dish and drink: including crab cakes! Our favorite Philadelphia spot is Max Brenner. We watched the snow fall during the bizarre October snow storm and ate our European Fondue goodies over a mini fire. Also, we love The Melt in Center Valley because of its sentimental value.

What is your favorite way of celebrating your anniversary? Or a special evening?

We love to visit wineries in Virginia. We pack a picnic lunch with wine, cheese, bread and chocolate and listen to the local bands that play during the summertime while sitting in the vineyards.

What 3 words or phrases describe your relationship?

Perfect match, True Love, Lifelong friendship

 What are you favorite things to do together?

Trying new restaurants, watching movies, day trips (our first date was to Gettysburg, PA), cooking together, ice skating, visiting friends, museums and walks on the beach.

Can you think of anything else you want to say about your relationship?

Bruce is the most amazing man I’ve ever met and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him. We’ve been in a long distance relationship for the entire 4 years and the best moment of my life will be when we can do our favorite things together every day.
