2013 GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY FILMMAKER FESTIVAL
3rd annual event set for Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas
ArtsQuest is inviting area filmmakers to submit their works for consideration for the third-annual Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival (GLVFF), Oct. 31-Nov. 2at the ArtsQuest Center’s Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas.
The GLVFF is a juried film festival highlighting the independent filmmakers who live and work in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding region. ArtsQuest is looking for new and seasoned filmmakers from the Lehigh Valley region to submit their work for consideration. Filmmakers from Eastern Pennsylvania and Central/Western New Jersey are also welcome to send submissions.
Submissions can be sent to ArtsQuest Programming Manager for Comedy and Cinema Ryan Hill. The early submission deadline, without an entry fee, is Aug. 1. Last day to apply is Sept. 13 and submissions sent between Aug. 2and Sept. 13must include a $10 fee per submission. Fees will be waived for high school and college students. Submissions can be dropped off or mailed to Hill’s attention at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
Additional guidelines are:
- Films must be submitted with a completed submission form; this can be found online at www.artsquest.org/film.
- Entries must have been filmed after Jan. 1, 2011. Entries must abide by all copyright laws.
- Films can be submitted in Data-DVDs (for shorts), Blu-Rays (Data or .M2TS BD file architecture [no DRMI]), FTP downloads (must include the URL, username, and password), flash drives or portable hard drives.
- Films must be submitted by the project’s director, producer or authorized representative.
- Filmmakers wishing to submit multiple entries for consideration must send a separate submission form for each entry.
- Films that were submitted to the 2011 or 2012 GLVFF but not screened may be resubmitted. Films screened at the 2011 and/or 2012 GLVFF are not eligible.
Festival awards will be presented for the Best Feature, Best Short (15-50 min.), Best Short (<15 min.), Best Commercial/Viral Video, Best TV Pilot/Web Series, Best Documentary and Audience Award. Award winners will be announced Nov. 2 at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas.
