ARTSQUEST, Bethlehem is recruiting friendly, energetic volunteers for Musikfest July/August 2016. The festival runs from 8/5-8/14. Opportunities are available as ticket sellers, soda and alcohol beverage service, EcoSquad, stage hands, Street Team, and many more! We ask volunteers to do at least 2-3 shifts totaling 18 hours. CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Allentown is looking for a volunteer to teach scrapbooking at their Legacy series about ancestry at Lehigh Valley Hospital Network. Volunteer will take the lead on how to get started, but will be assisted by a staff member. Supplies will be provided, but any donations of items preferred by the volunteer would be amazing. DAVINCI SCIENCE CENTER, Allentown – As part of their Summer Youth Program, DaVinci Science Center is recruiting Exhibit Floor Volunteers (15+ years). Volunteers will be running science demonstrations at Inquiry Island, facilitating marine tank activities, and assisting on the exhibit floor. Volunteers should enjoy working with people and have an interest in learning how to engage groups and families in science experiments. MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown is looking for volunteers (18+ years) to do grocery shopping for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. Choose the area of Lehigh County that works best for you. Flexible scheduling based on client’s needs (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). A 40 minute orientation is required. MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER, Bethlehem is looking for Canteen Attendants every Saturday from 10am-1pm at their Allentown site 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd, Suite 1300. Canteen attendants monitor blood donors after their donations, ensure donors are feeling well before leaving the site, and serve drinks/snacks to our donors. Orientations will be held. SACRED HEART HOME CARE & HOSPICE, Allentown needs volunteers to help bereaved/grieving children age 8-16 at Camp Evergreen from July 29 at 5pm to July 31 at noon. The weekend overnight camp, at Camp Fowler in Orefield, assists children in coping with their loss by using arts & crafts, games, and songs. VOLUNTEER CENTER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is recruiting youth for their goLEAD Leadership Program which will take place from 9am-3pm on Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15.
