You may not like green eggs and ham, but you’ll love ArtsQuest’s free storytime event in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday March 2. Come celebrate the beloved children’s author starting at 10 a.m. this Thursday in the Crayola Gallery of the Banana Factory Arts Center, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem.

In honor of Dr. Suess’ birthday and Read Across America Day, the ArtsQuest is bringing some of Suess’ best-loved books to life through readings by ArtsQuest Staff. Children of all ages can enjoy the clever characters and witty wordplay from classics like “Green Eggs and Ham,” “The Lorax,” “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” and more.

After storytime, children are invited to stay for a clever craft inspired by the Seuss classic “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” Kids will make a 3-D paper hot air balloon and write on the basket the places they would like to visit and what they’d like to be when they grow up.

This Suess-abration is geared toward families with children 6 and under, but guests of all ages are welcome. Join the millions of children across the country celebrating the annual Read Across America Day – it’s just what the doctor ordered!
