Following the success of their multiplatinum debut album Sixteen Stone in 1994, British rock band BUSH went on to become one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the ‘90s, selling more than 10 million records in the United States. The group has had numerous Top 10 singles on the Billboard rock charts including “Comedown,” “Glycerine,” “Little Things,” “Swallowed” and “Machinehead.” After an eight-year hiatus, the band reformed in 2010 and began work on a new album, The Sea of Memories, released in September 2011. The album produced the No. 1 single “The Sound of Winter,” which topped both the alternative and rock charts. The group’s most recent recording is Man on the Run, which came out in October 2014.
Formed in the Chicago suburb of Grayslake, Ill., in 1995, Chevelle has sold more than four million albums during its career, producing hits like “The Red,” “Send the Pain Below” and “Vitamin R.” The band’s first studio album, Point #1, was released on a small record label called Squint Entertainment, while its follow-up, Wonder What’s Next, was certified platinum by the RIAA after a debut at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. Chevelle’s most recent album, La Gárgola, was released in March 2014.
The BUSH and Chevelle concert is supported by media partner WZZO 95.1 FM. One of the largest music festivals in the nation, Musikfest features more than 500 performances on 16 stages throughout Bethlehem over 10 days. Dates for the 33rd edition of the festival are Aug. 5-14, 2016.
