winter blast for invitationThumbing its nose at the dreary season, WDIY, Lehigh Valley’s community public radio station is holding a Winter Blast on Saturday, February 2, 7-11PM in the Rodale Room at Miller Symphony Hall, to celebrate with listeners, and raise funds for the station.

It’s going to be a great party, as usual!” says Bill Dautremont-Smith, Executive Director of the local NPR station. “There will be lots of food, complimentary beer and wine and, of course, music. The great dance band, Lehigh Valley Soul Project will be playing as well as Yancarlos Sanchez, with his amazing mouth trumpet sounds.”

In addition to dancing, drinking and eating, party-goers will have a chance to bid on many items at a silent auction including: a weekend trip to Jim Thorpe, framed work by celebrated photographer Theo Anderson, a membership to Steel Fitness, tickets to the Iron Pigs and Sellersville Theatre, one of a kind jewelry and much more. Dan’s Camera is also providing a photo booth to add to the fun and create entertaining memories.

Bill continues, “We can all use a lift during this time of year and this party is guaranteed to do the trick!” Proceeds from the event will benefit programming on WDIY.

Tickets are $45 for members and $60 for non-members and can be purchased online at wdiy.org or by calling the station at 610-694-8100 x 7.
