ALLENTOWN RESCUE MISSION needs volunteers for “Thanks for Giving Food & Supply Drive.”  Help sort and put donated items into the pantry.  Times of need are 9am-noon and 1-4pm Monday11/21, Tuesday11/22, and Wednesday 11/23.  Call Deirdre Federico, 610-740-5500 x22, dfederico@armpa.org.

ALLENTOWN YMCA needs volunteers to help with a holiday meal for the homeless, seniors that are alone, and low income families in our local community.  Help set up and wrap gifts from 5-7pm on Thursday, Dec. 15.  Friday, Dec. 16 at 2pm help set up for the meal and cook it; at 5:45pm serve meal; and 7pm clean up and break down.  Call Jenn Rowe, 610-434-9333 x302 or cell 610-730-1989.

ARTSQUEST, Bethlehem needs many volunteers to help with their newly expanded Christkindlmarkt festival that runs Fri., Sat, & Sun. from 11/18-12/18.  Some of the fun opportunities are:  Admissions Assistant, Retail Assistant, Booth Attendant, Ticket Taker/Hand Stamper, and much more.  Times range from 10:30am-3:30pm and 3pm-either 6:30 on Thursdays and Sundays, or 8:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with variance on specific opportunity.  Register on line at www.artsquest.volunteerhub.com or call Christ Stubbe, 610-332-1354, cstubbe@artsquest.org.

CENTER FOR VISION LOSS, Allentown is looking for volunteers to be “Annie’s Angels” to do home visits, read mail, and provide companionship.  Volunteers to drive customers to doctor appointments, shopping, or center activities are also needed.  Hours are flexible and are determined by need.  Training will be provided.  Call Rita Lang, 610-433-6018, rita.lang@centerforvisionloss.org.

HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS needs volunteers to donate shoeboxes filled with age appropriate items for Lehigh Valley’s less fortunate children.  This a great project for large or small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals coordinated by the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley.  To participate, go to www.volunteerlv.org and fill out a Holiday Hope Chest Donation Registration form.   Filled shoeboxes may be dropped off at 2121 City Line Road, Bethlehem from 10-6pm Tues.11/29, Wed. 11/30, Thurs., 12/1; or Fri. 12/2 from 10am-3pm ONLY.

MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown needs volunteers (18+ years) to do grocery shopping for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities in an area of Lehigh County that works best for you.  Flexible scheduling based on client’s needs (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).  A 40 minute orientation is required.  Orientation scheduled for Wednesday 11/30@6:30pm, Friday 12/9@1pm, or call/email to schedule a one-on-one that fits your schedule.  Call Lindsay Fly, 610-841-7132, lfly@mealsonwheelslc.org.

MORAVIAN HALL SQUARE, Nazareth needs library volunteers for modernizing their library.  This one week opportunity is available from November 28th through December 2nd.  Choose to volunteer for the day or for either shift of 9am-noon or 1-4pm.  Duties include scanning books, re-shelving, and bar coding.  Trailing will be provided.  Must be able to stand and reach.  Call Laurie Brunstetter, 610-746-1334, laurieb@moravian.com.
