ARTSQUEST, Bethlehem is recruiting volunteers for Musikfest 2016. The festival runs from 8/5-8/14. Opportunities are available as ticket sellers, soda and alcohol beverage service, EcoSquad, stage hands, Street Team, and many more! We ask volunteers to do at least 2-3 shifts totaling 18 hours. DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, INC., Easton is looking for trail tenders and trail patrol volunteers. Trail Tenders perform clean-ups, brush and branch removal, and other trail activities. Trail Patrol volunteers patrol the trail on bicycles in all five counties, answer visitors’ questions and tend to their needs, and look for fallen trees, erosion, and other trail maintenance issues. GRACEDALE NURSING HOME, Nazareth needs Evening Hospitality Volunteers to greet and orient new residents by welcoming them to the facility, showing them locations of interest and answering any questions they have. Also to assist in following up with residents to ensure that they are comfortable. Time frame is between 4pm and 7pm. Orientation and background check required. HOLY FAMILY MANOR, Bethlehem has several opportunities for youth volunteers. Be a companion to a resident by visiting, going outdoors, playing a game. Help seniors learn new things such as computers, iPad, Wii games, make music lists, etc. Help residents fill bird baths and bird feeders. Help with minor clerical tasks. MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown needs volunteers (18+ years) to do grocery shopping for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. Choose the area of Lehigh County that works best for you. Flexible scheduling based on client’s needs (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). A 40 minute orientation is required. PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY THERAPY DOGS, INC., Kutztown needs “Therapy Dogs” to visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and other facilities throughout the Lehigh Valley. Therapy dogs must have obedience training and obey basic commands, even when excited. Dogs should be sociable, love meeting new people, get along well with other dogs, be gentle and polite, and under owner’s control at all times.
