CEDARBROOK NURSING HOME, Allentown – Do you have a people friendly furry friend (dog/cat) who would love to visit others and be showered with affection while bringing smiles and joy to others? Some residents had pets at home and are really missing the unique and loving comfort of a pet. This would be at your convenience, and you can do one-on-one or group visits. CENTER FOR HUMANISTIC CHANGE, Allentown is seeking reliable, friendly volunteers to act as receptionist on weekdays. Volunteers can set their own schedule during M-F 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities include greeting guests/visitors, answering phones, transferring calls, taking thorough messages, signing for packages, and light data entry, etc. as time/talent permits. COMPEER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Allentown needs volunteers for one-on-one friendship matches. Compeer matches volunteers from the community with members who are in stable, mental health recovery. Volunteers spend time with the member doing things like talking over a cup of coffee, taking a walk, going to a free concert, and many more. GREATER LV AUTO DEALERS ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION needs volunteers to staff the 2017 LV Auto Show for 4 hour shifts at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus, 10am-9pm March 23-25 and 10am-6pm March 26. MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown is looking for substitute volunteers (18+ years) to distribute meals to homebound individuals between 11am-1pm Monday-Friday. No need to commit to a regular schedule. Teams of 2 deliver on 33 routes throughout Lehigh County. Drive a route or ride along as a visitor. NORTHEAST MINISTRY, Bethlehem needs volunteers to pick up donated food items at Wawa at Broad St. & Stefko Blvd., Bethlehem and deliver to Northeast Ministry.
