CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Allentown needs volunteers for their Annual Boutique at the Rink, a sale of new and gently used items. Help set up May 1-19 or work 4 hour shifts on Sales Days 5/30 through 6/3. Volunteers serving 30 hours or more during pre-sale activities will earn an “early shopping opportunity” on Wednesday, 5/31 from 8am-9:30am. DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATL. HERITAGE CORRIDOR, Easton needs National Canal Museum volunteers (age 16+) to serve as docents. Docents greet visitors, provide tours, and help in Gift Shop. Docents should be interested in the transportation and industrial history of the region, enjoy talking with the public, and learning new things. Background checks required, but are paid by D&L. HISTORIC BETHLEHEM MUSEUMS & SITES needs volunteers to help with parking, crafts and children’s activities, set up, and clean up at Community Heritage Day from 10am-4pm on Saturday, May 6th at Colonial Industrial Quarter, 459 Old York Road. MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown is looking for volunteers (18+ years) to distribute meals to homebound individuals between 11am-1pm Monday-Friday. Teams of 2 deliver on 33 routes throughout Lehigh County. Drive a route or ride along as a visitor. Bring a friend and form a team or let us provide a partner for you. SHARECARE FAITH IN ACTION, Bethlehem is looking for volunteer drivers (18+ years) to help safely transport people who are elderly and/or disabled to and from doctor appointments and with grocery shopping in the Lehigh Valley. Volunteers are also needed to visit, socialize, and take homebound customers out of their home environment. All volunteers are asked to attend a 2 hour orientation and training. THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, Orefield needs volunteers to feed and water over 70 rescued small, large, and some exotic animals. Clean up help is also needed with stalls and pasture clean up. THE MIRACLE LEAGUE OF LEHIGH VALLEY, Schnecksville needs volunteers (12+ years) to help children and adults with special needs play baseball during the spring season now through 6/18. Volunteers are assigned to a player as a “Baseball Angel” to help players bat, run or walk, and catch. Volunteers are also needed to be announcers for games.
