JordanSmithIt’s the start of “Something Beautiful” when Jordan Smith, winner of Season 9 of “The Voice” makes his first appearance at the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café at SteelStacks on Oct. 23, 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $29-$39 and go on sale Aug. 23, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and Aug. 26, 10 a.m., to the public; they’ll be available at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.

The best-selling artist in the history of The Voice, Smith began his singing career in his church choir and auditioned for The Voice in 2014. His rendition of “Great is Thy Faithfulness” hit No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Christian Songs charts, and it was followed by his stunning version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” which also topped the Christian Songs charts. In March of this year, the Harlan, K.Y., native released his first full-length recording, “Something Beautiful,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
