Souper Bowl IVLocal restaurants competed on January 26, 2013  for soup-supremacy to benefit the ArtsQuest’s Arts Education fund.

During the Souper Bowl, talented chefs from throughout the region showcased a variety of homemade soups while competing for the title of “Souper Bowl Champ.”

Judged Category Winners:

  • Best Cream-based Soup: Rhode Island Crab & Clam Chowder – Hops Fogelsville Hotel
  • Best Chowder: Spanish Crab Chowder – Vintage Restaurant & Bar
  • Best Ethnic Soup: Thai Green Curry & Shrimp Soup – Cathy’s Creative Catering & Café
  • Best Meat-based Soup: Pork Carnitas Chili Verde – Copperhead Grille
  • Most Original Soup: Banana Berries Chambord – The Gander Room
  • Best Vegetarian Soup: Roasted Apple Butternut Squash Soup – Iron Lakes Country Club
