Now through March 1, 2016 “Here Come the Brides,” an exhibit of stunning bridal attire (including tuxes) dating from the mid-1840s to the 1960s, features 26 items, all from Northampton County residents. Included with museum admission. Exhibit opens October 10.

November 5 “Early Easton Photo History, 1850-1900,” Chris Karfakis, 7 pm.  Free with museum admission or $5 donation. Karfakis’s unusual educational and business background in electronics, quality assurance, and food-related businesses has made him keenly aware of the impact photography can have on everyday life. His own personal collection of cameras and photographic images has given him a rare perspective on history.

November 7 Site Tours of the Bachmann Publick House, 169 Northampton St., and Mixsell House, 101 S. Fourth St., Easton, PA, 10 am – 2 pm. $5 includes admission to both house museums. Visitors will view two historic eras in Easton through the lenses of the 1753 tavern and the 1833 family home.

November 14  Lehigh Valley Wine Auction, State Theatre, 453 Northampton St., Easton, 6-9 pm. Silent and live auction of unique wines and experiences, food and wine pairings from Easton restaurants. Tickets start

November 28 Small Business Saturday & Candle lighting, 10 am – 5 pm, Peace Candle video running all day. Special admission $5, children free.

December 5 Paper Quilling Demonstration, Bachmann Publick House, 10 am – 2 pm, 169 Northampton St., Easton, PA. $5 donation requested. Quilling is the art of coiling and shaping paper strips to form a design; it has been practiced for hundreds of years, from the Middle Ages in Europe to the present.

December 12 Opening of PA-German Fraktur and Copy Books exhibit. Exhibit continues to February 14, 2016. Free with museum admission. Drawn from the collection of NCHGS, the sample birth and baptismal certificates demonstrate the Pennsylvania-German love of color and decoration as applied to everyday documents.

December 12 Children’s Holiday Party: make a holiday ornament, 1-3 pm. Free with accompanying adult.
