A record 16 restaurants will serve up delicious dishes made with Girl Scout Cookies during the 3rd Annual Girl Scout Cookie Crunch at SteelStacks Feb. 26, 1-3 p.m. Included are savory delights like lemon ricotta gnocchi made with Lemonades® and Caribbean chicken meatballs with roasted tomato sauce and Caramel deLITES®, as well as sweet treats like strawberry shortcake cream cheese bites featuring Shortbreads® and Lemonades®.
During this fun filled, public event, attendees can sample all of the culinary creations, as well as vote for their favorites in People’s Choice ‘sweet’ and ‘savory’ categories. New this year, ages 18 and under can also vote for the winner of the Kid’s Choice Award. Each dish will feature one or more of the Girl Scout Cookie brands: Thin Mints®, Peanut Butter Patties®, Caramel deLITES®, Shortbreads®, Lemonades®, Peanut Butter Sandwiches®, Thanks-A-Lots® and Gluten-Free Trios®.
Adding to the flavor of this year’s event, all adult guests will take home a box of the brand new S’Mores® celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scout cookie sale, and have a chance to meet Lucy Chelton, a Girl Scout Junior of Sellersville who was named winner of the popular Food Network show “Chopped Jr.” this past August.
Leading the list of culinary participants at the Cookie Crunch is 2016 Cookie Crunch winner Cindie Feldman of 29 Cooks Catering + Culinary Center of Macungie, a recent winner of the Food Network’s “Cooks vs. Cons.”
