Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority announces the arrival of “Wings and Wheels” Day at Queen City Airport on Saturday, August 20 (Rain date – Aug. 21). The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and admission to this family event is FREE.
Aviation activities include a Fly-in event, static aircraft display, education exhibits, plus an Airport and Commercial vehicle display. Another special feature for the day is helicopter tours of the Lehigh Valley. There is a cost for the flight tour. Sign-ups for the helicopter tours are set to begin soon.
If you’re crazy for cars, hundreds of unique automobiles will be on the airfield during an Exotic Car Show. Don’t miss your opportunity to get an “up close” view. You can also enjoy delicious food and family fun!
“Queen City Airport is really a hidden jewel of history and this free event offers families the experience of being part of the aviation community,” said Charles Everett, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.
The LNAA will be accepting donations to support the Aviation Exposure and Education Program (AEP), which is designed to provide practical experience for students with interest in aviation and aerospace related careers and aeronautical facilities and equipment.
*No pets, alcohol or coolers are permitted. All bags are subject to search before entering the Airport.
