“Love Songs” concert on Feb. 5

Tenor Michael Bodnyk will be accompanied by pianist Bethany Porter as they present a concert, “Love Songs” on Friday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall. It is free and open to the public; the venue is handicapped accessible.

A native of the Lehigh Valley, Bodnyk is a classically trained singer and conductor. He is active as a soloist in recital and oratorio throughout the tri-state area and is a member of the music staff at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan where he serves as a cantor and a soloist/section leader for the Cathedral Choir.

The evening will include love songs from Broadway, movies, classic standards and from countries around the world.

Bodnyk is also co-executive director of Camp Rhythmo, which offers programming in the Lehigh Valley for children, inspiring them with music, art and movement. A free-will offering will be taken at the concert to support Camp Rhythmo’s spring and summer programs.
