SUPPORT our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate by participating in the LEGO Build Contest. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your group to play like kids again AND earn community service hours while doing so! It is a great way to showcase your creativity while impacting the lives of others, by raising funds for Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley. Our mission at Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
 
ENTER your group into a LEGO building contest where the winning project will be displayed at the Lehigh Valley International Airport for one year! In addition, the winner will be recognized in the local media.  All entries will be displayed at Habitat’s A Toast to Hope event to be held on October 23, 2014 at the PPL Center in Allentown.  Voting will take place at the event and online.
 
HOW VOTING WORKS
Each group will set up a group fundraising page.  Groups can encourage friends and family to donate towards their LEGO house.  Each dollar donated will count as one vote, so groups will want to start their fundraising page as early as possible in order to gain the most votes.  On October 23, the LEGO houses will be displayed at A Toast to Hope and voting tokens will be sold.  Wine Tasting guests will continue voting on the houses through the event, and then votes will be tallied.  The group with the most votes (fundraising page votes + votes cast during the event) will win!

3 Start your group fundraising page.  Minimum of $100 must be raised by Oct 1st to participate. Information on how to set up a fundraising page will be announced in August 2014.
