Dolly & Me

Thanksgiving – Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

What are you thankful for? Join Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, where children and their favorite stuffed animal or doll friend will participate in the true meaning of the holiday season by sharing what they are thankful for on our Thanksgiving Tree! Create your very own tree with everything you are thankful for this season. Take some branches home with you and leave the rest for the museum to put on display!

Dollhouse Christmas – Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Christmas City embraces literacy and the magic of the holiday! Share the wonder of family and the imagination with your doll friend at the Kemerer Museum while you enjoy a wholesome story and visit the dolls in the Once upon a Tree House room! Hear the story of Rosy, her dollhouse, and a fairy guest who comes to visit. Hear the story read by the museum’s namesake, Annie Kemerer and take a photograph with her!

Hunt for History

Manners Around the World – Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Ever wanted to speak a different language?  Drop in to Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts to get a start! Children will have the opportunity to practice words such as please and thank you in a variety of languages, preparing them to enter the global world with good manners. Then take a scavenger hunt through the museum to find some of the most beloved objects in the collection, where you will then learn the history of the object and how to say the names of the objects in different languages. Free with Pass into History.

Holiday Centerpiece – Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Come to the Kemerer Museum for a fun filled afternoon, where you and your child will create a holiday project using real greens!

Don’t forget to check out the other decorations around the museum, both new and old and take time to play in our Once Upon A Treehouse interactive toy room.
