Bob Pasquini, former Locktender at the National Canal Museum, has a secret passion: collecting facts and photos about Island Park, a 19th century 100-acre amusement center on an island in the middle of the Lehigh River, between Williams Township and Palmer Township. There really was a park with ferris wheel and many other entertainments. Bob will share his knowledge and photos at the fall meeting of the Williams Township Historical Society on Sunday, October 16, 3 pm, in the social room of St. John’s Church of Morgan Hill, 2720 Morgan Hill Rd.
The public is welcome. As usual, contributions to the goody table are appreciated. The audience is encouraged to share their own memories and photos.
