Christmas with the Celts, the Dean Ween Group and comedian Kyle Kinane are among the new shows coming to the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Tickets for the performances are on sale at www.artsquest.org and 610-332-3378.
Combining traditional Celtic music and American pop, The Celts are known for their fervent and inspired musical performances, as well as their infectious energy. The group’s show, “Christmas with the Celts,” has aired across the U.S. and Ireland on 222 PBS channels. The show, which will appear at the Musikfest Café Dec. 3, 7:30 p.m., is a harmonious blend of Celtic carols and modern pop elements, made unique by The Celts’ Irish humor and quick wit.
On Dec. 4, 8:30 p.m., the Musikfest Café will rock with the Dean Ween Group. Led by guitarist Mickey Melchiondo, best known as Dean Ween of Ween, this group serves up an awesome set featuring music from Ween, punk-rock group Moistboyz, classic covers and more! The group is currently working on a new studio album, Garry.
Stand-up comedian Kyle Kinane, whose debut album in 2010, Death of the Party,won critical acclaim, will perform Jan. 23, 8 p.m., at the Musikfest Café. Kinane has been featured on Comedy Central’s show Drunk History and has performed at numerous comedy festivals and on TV programs including Last Call with Carson Daly, Live at Gotham and Conan.
