A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the American Heart Association’s ‘Go Red for Women’ initiative, which focuses on raising awareness of women’s heart disease. At Corsets & Cocktails Go Red, Ptak will present a three-part fashion show featuring models and local celebrities wearing her hand-embellished couture corsets and elegant custom ensembles for day, evening and special occasions. A resident of upper Bucks County, Ptak creates garments for a variety of celebrity clientele and her collections have been featured in numerous national magazines and fashion weeks. Her stunning, unique designs landed her a spot on Season 7 of Project Runway, with Tim Gunn calling her work “among the most beautifully constructed clothes I’ve ever seen” during casting for the show.
Ptak currently teaches fashion illustration, Haute Couture sewing techniques, lingerie design and more at The Arts and Fashion Institute in Bucks County. Her designs have been exhibited in numerous shows and exhibits around the world, including Le Musee des Arts Asiatiques in France and the Puck Gallery in New York.
