first-responders-6Firefighters, police officers and EMTs perform heroic actions across our nation every day, and this September Embassy Bank is honoring our local “heroes” by recognizing them in the “Our Hometown Heroes – First Responders” display at SteelStacks.

From now through Aug. 5, Embassy Bank invites the community to submit photos of family members, neighbors and friends who have served or are currently serving their communities as first responders for the display, which will be unveiled during the Patriot Day Celebration at SteelStacks Sept. 11. Photos of first responders including police and law enforcement officials, firefighters and volunteer firefighters, emergency medical personnel and paramedics are welcome.  Since its inception in 2013, more than 125 photos of first responders have been submitted for Our Hometown Heroes – First Responders, and all images from the past three years will be included as part of the display.

“Our first responders are doing tough jobs every day, saving lives, handling emergency situations and making our communities safe for everyone,” says Embassy Bank CEO, President and Chairman Dave Lobach Jr. “We’re once again looking forward to honoring these heroes on Patriot Day and we hope our community will join us in saluting these dedicated, courageous men and women.”

Photo submissions for Our Hometown Heroes – First Responders can be uploaded to www.steelstacks.org/festivals/patriotic-holidays/patriot-day/ or dropped off at the Banana Factory, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, or any Embassy Bank branch in the Lehigh Valley.  All photos will be returned and can be picked up at the Banana Factory during normal business hours from Aug. 17-24.
