Valley-Preferred1

ClydesdalesOn September 14th, the Budweiser Clydesdales will be making a special appearance at Valley Preferred Cycling Center during the Wheels for Hope Charity Bike Ride. The appearance is made possible by Valley Preferred Cycling Center’s partnership with Allentown Beverage, and both organizations could not be prouder to help such a great cause.

This year marks the second annual Wheels for Hope Charity Bike Ride, which takes place at Valley Preferred Cycling Center on September 14th, 2013.

This charity ride, beginning and ending at Valley Preferred Cycling Center, benefits children battling cancer, and allows cyclists of all ages and abilities to ride to bring hope to the millions of children fighting cancer each day

The opening ceremony of the event will begin at 8:45 AM, followed by a children’s fun ride and walk on the 1.1 mile Rodale Park walking path from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. At 12:45 PM will be a children’s festival inside the Valley Preferred Cycling Center featuring games, activities, food and live music.

Angel 34One hundred percent of the funds raised and donated at the event will benefit Angel 34. Angel 34 was founded in 2003 by 13 year old Nicole Sheriff, who was battling cancer at the time, and knew firsthand how it can affect families. Nicole established the foundation to provide ICEE machines, financial assistance, therapy programs camps, and more to children’s hospitals across the country to provide the cool drink that helps offset some of the side effects of chemotherapy. Lehigh Valley Hospital was the first hospital to receive an ICEE machine.
