ArtsQuest Seeking Actors for Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding

The nonprofit ArtsQuest is seeking actors and actresses for major roles in the upcoming Off-Broadway production of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding running at the Musikfest Café of the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, Feb. 5-7 and 12-14.  Auditions are scheduled for Jan. 10-11, 1-5 p.m., in the Crayola Gallery of the Banana Factory, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem. 

 

As part of the 2015 presentation of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, ArtsQuest is seeking men and women ages 18-70 to take part in the production. Only actors with outgoing personalities need apply; some acting experience is required and improvisational skills are helpful.

 

Auditions will be interviews; some actors will be asked to read from sides provided while others will be asked to improvise. Interested actors must RSVP by Jan. 7 to ArtsQuest’s Ryan Hill at rhill@artsquest.org with their name, email address and phone number. Audition dates and times will be assigned via e-mail; no phone calls, please. Actors are asked to bring a self-photo to the auditions. 

 

Rehearsals for Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding will begin Feb. 1 and selected actors must be available for rehearsals and all performances. The rehearsal schedule will be provided at the audition. This is an excellent opportunity to work with professional actors from the New York production of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, and actors will be compensated for their work.

 

Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding is an interactive Off-Broadway show that spoofs an Italian-American wedding, complete with a pre-show cash bar, ceremony and reception full of mishaps and mad-cap comedy, plus a buffet dinner with wedding cake, music and dancing.
