GRAMMY winners Culture Club, on their first tour in more than 14 years, will headline Musikfest when they perform at the festival’s Sands Steel Stage at PNC Plaza Aug. 8, 8:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $59-$79 and go on sale starting March 31, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and April 3, 10 a.m., to the public at www.musikfest.org and 610-332-3378.

Winners of a 1984 GRAMMY Award for Best New Artist, Culture Club had a string of Top 10 hits in the 1980s starting with international smash “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me.” Led by their charismatic lead singer, Boy George, the group became one of the most popular acts of the decade, with hits such as  “I’ll Tumble 4 Ya,” “It’s a Miracle,” “Time (Clock of the Heart)” and “Karma Chameleon.” Later this year, the band will release “Tribes,” its first new album since 1999’s “Don’t Mind If I Do,” which featured the hit “I Just Wanna Be Loved.”

The Culture Club show is sponsored by B.Braun/Aesculap and ServiceMaster by Round the Clock Cleaning, along with media partners The Express-Times powering lehighvalleylive.com and 100.7 WLEV.
