‘Bully Free Zone’ App Released by Captain McFinn also Available
Halloween is here and Lehigh Valley Mall is inviting all little ghouls, goblins and boo’tiful princesses to come have a spooktacular time at the Kidgits Halloween event. Lehigh Valley Mall will offer local children a safe place to take part in Halloween activities as the Simon Kidgits Club® presents Boo Bash, its annual Halloween event, on Saturday, October 25 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the Event Court.
From 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., stop by the Mall Elevator Court to receive trick-or-treat bags and goodies while supplies last. Kick off your trick-or-treating fun at over 25 participating retailers marked with signs until 12:00 p.m., including Abercrombie & Fitch, Vera Bradley, P.S. from Aeropostale and more, while supplies last. All children under the age of 12 are invited to participate. Masks will not be permitted on guests over the age of 12.
Afterward, join the mall in partnership with 100.7 WLEV in the Mall Events Court for crafts and activities including a witch hat ring toss, DIY necklaces, bookmarks and more, as well as a Monster Mash tutorial with Superstar Dance Academy. Kidgits members will also receive a free gift while supplies last.
“Lehigh Valley Mall is the perfect place for families looking for Halloween entertainment in a fun, safe community environment,” said Elizabeth DiDuca, Director of Marketing and Business Development. “Whether kids want to show off their new costume or take home some Halloween-themed crafts, there is an activity here for every ghost, witch, princess and werewolf. This Halloween event is a great addition to our year-long Simon Kidgits Club programs.”
This year, The Simon Kidgits Club will recognize October as Bully Prevention Month in association with ‘Malls & Retailers Unite Against Bullying,’ and their children’s property Captain McFinn. Captain McFinn promotes social and emotional development in children through live virtual playdates, online games, apps and resources for parents and teachers.
At the Lehigh Valley Mall Kidgits Boo Bash event, a free app called The Bully Free Zone will be available for download. The Bully Free Zone is an app released by Captain McFinn and features fun activities, a new McFinn cartoon, and a chance for families to win a free iPad Air.
Families who download the app can sign the Bully Free pledge and help spread the word about bully prevention. They can also spread kindness with one of the app’s featured activities, the Kindness Calendar. With the Kindness Calendar, children and parents receive prompts to complete acts of kindness. Once an act is complete, it is tracked in the Kindness feed. The more kind acts that are accomplished, the more badges children and their parents receive. This free app is a perfect and fun way for families to participate in Bully Prevention Month.
