Karel Mikolas headlines Holiday Show

Bethlehem House Gallery, a contemporary art gallery providing innovative art in a variety of contemporary styles, will host its Holiday Show from Friday, October 23 through Saturday, January 9. An Opening Reception Friday, October 23 from 6-9 pm will mark the start of the newest gallery exhibit. A Closing Reception will take place on Saturday, January 9 from 6-9 pm.

The Holiday Show will feature Karel Mikolas, a renowned artist who works with clay, wood, bronze and stone. His work has been exhibited nationally and is currently featured at the Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University. Mikolas is well-known for his Asa Packer sculpture on Lehigh University’s campus. Other emerging and well-known artists featured in the Holiday Show will include Lynn Noble, Khalil Allaik, Michael Hess, Femi Johnson, and Deborah Slahta. The Gallery will also be participating in InVision Photo Fest, with photographer Lynn Noble as the InVision artist for the Holiday Show.

The Gallery will ring in the season with a holiday-inspired look including new artwork, furniture, and area modification. In addition to large wall hangings and sculptures, this show will include smaller pieces, perfect for gift-giving, such as ornaments, jewelry and more. All artwork for this show will also be available to purchase online.

The Opening Reception will take place at the Gallery on 459 Main Street in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The reception will include beverages and light refreshments as well as live entertainment provided by “The Music of Drew Hartman”. Guests will have the opportunity to get the first look at the new exhibit and speak to the Gallery staff about the artwork, artists and their inspiration.
