As a result of this weekend’s forecasted inclement weather, ArtsQuest is cancelling or postponing its programming at SteelStacks and the Banana Factory this Saturday including the Improv Comedy Festival.

The Comedy Festival, originally set for Jan. 21-22 at the ArtsQuest Center, 101 Founders Way, has been moved to Feb. 26-27, with the exception of tonight’s Christian Capozzoli workshop, which will go on as scheduled. As a result of the date change, The Improvised Shakespeare Company will no longer be able to attend the festival, so refunds will be provided to anyone who purchased tickets to the group’s workshops. An updated festival performance schedule will be announced in the near future.

Most other programming at SteelStacks on Saturday will be cancelled, including the annual Souper Bowl culinary event and fund-raiser. In addition, the Bethlehem Visitors Center presented by St. Luke’s University Health Network, 711 E. First St., and the Banana Factory Arts Center, 25 W. Third St., will be closed.  The encore screening of Labyrinth, set for Jan. 23 at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas, has been rescheduled for Jan. 30, 9:30 p.m.

All Friday programming at SteelStacks including The Sounds of Simon and Garfunkel performance in the Musikfest Café will go on as scheduled.
