turkey-trot-pet-resizedBurn off those Thanksgiving Day calories with Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites’ 14th Annual Historic Turkey Trot 5K Run & Fitness Walk on Saturday, November 26. This family and dog-friendly, picturesque USATF-certified course begins in the historic Colonial Industrial Quarter, located at 459 Old York Road, and winds through the National Historic Landmark District of Historic Moravian Bethlehem.

Guests can participate in the Turkey Trot as runners, competitive walkers, or untimed fun walkers. Register the whole family as fun walkers for an entertaining and energetic outing, dogs and strollers included!

Prizes for 1st and 2nd place will be awarded in six age groups, as well as to the overall male and female winners in the competitive walk and 3 youth categories.

Form a Turkey Team of 15 or more friends, family members, fellow alumni, and coworkers and receive a discounted registration fee. Turkey Teams will get a special shout out from the event DJ. Groman’s famous Moravian Sugar Cookies and kiffles will be available for purchase during the duration of the race near the Luckenbach Mill.

Afterwards, see the Holiday Dinner Art exhibition, held on the 2nd floor of the newly renovated Luckenbach Mill. This Art exhibition features prominent local artists including work by Diane Hutchinson, Ben Marcune, Sandra Corpora, Lee Branagan, Bernie Taylor, Pat Deluva, Noel Adams, and Skip Kralik. The Holiday Art Auction exhibition will be on display in the Luckenbach Mill from November 7 through November 30, Monday – Friday by appointment and Saturday – Sunday from 11 am through 4 pm.
