Williams Township Historical Society (WTHS) will join other township organizations in showing attendees the exciting activities in the township on Williams Township’s Community Day.
On Saturday, August 10, starting at 2 pm, WTHS will host the 153rd Volunteer PA Civil War Regiment. These experienced reenactors will demonstrate how the common soldier lived, how the women supported the war effort and battlefield casualties, what the children did. They’ll have games for children and be ready to answer questions. About 5 pm there will be a firing demonstration. Ron Hineline, authority on Williams Township’s Company F, and Ned Heindel, president of WTHS, will be on hand.
WTHS will also honor Karen Palmer, the person who visited all the historic sites in Northampton County’s Passport to History program during 2012-2013. Further information: call 610-253-8951
