Children ages 6 and older are invited to discover a variety of street soccer skills during a free Street Soccer-style Clinic presented by the Philadelphia Union June 14, 10 a.m., at the FIFA World Cup™ SoccerFest and Viewing Party at SteelStacks. The dynamic, hands-on event, led by Union players and coaches, is open to the first 200 children who register at www.lvsoccerfest.com.
During the street soccer clinic, children will work with Philadelphia Union players as they discover the fast pace, fun and creativity that make street soccer popular in urban areas around the world including the cities of Brazil, home to this year’s World Cup. The clinic will last 90 minutes and include several stations focusing on different soccer skills, techniques and strategies.
Youth are also invited to visit the Philadelphia Union Fun Zone at SteelStacks, where they will enjoy interactive inflatables and arts & crafts, including the opportunity to make their own World Cup™ noisemaker inspired by the caxirola. The Fun Zone will be open daily during the SoccerFest and include opportunities to meet and get autographs fromPhiladelphia Union staff and players on select days.

Good Shepherd Pediatrics’ Soccer Clinic for Children with Disabilities
June 20, 4 & 5 p.m.
Good Shepherd Pediatrics and Lehigh Valley United are partnering to present two soccer clinics designed to give children with disabilities an exciting, hands-on introduction to the world of soccer. Each clinic will include 25 participants; registration is open to children ages 5-12 on a first-come basis. Register at www.lvsoccerfest.com.

The FIFA World Cup™ SoccerFest and Viewing Party takes place June 12-16 and 19-22 at SteelStacks. One of a select few outdoor viewing events in the nation officially approved by FIFA, the event features 26 World Cup Brazil™ games, including USA vs. Ghana June 16 and USA vs. Portugal June 22, shown on a giant outdoor LED screen on SteelStacks’ Air Products Town Square. Both weekends of the festival are also packed with soccer programs, clinics, hands-on activities and special events appealing to soccer fans, players, coaches and families.
