SCHOOLS INVITED TO ENTER LEHIGH VALLEY PEEPS® SCHOLASTIC DIORAMA COMPETITION
Grand-prize winner will drop giant PEEPS® Chick during PEEPSFEST™ Dec. 31 at SteelStacks

peepsfestJust Born Quality Confections and ArtsQuest invite area schools to enjoy some PEEPS®-tacular fun by entering the 2013 Lehigh Valley PEEPS® Scholastic Diorama Competition.  Deadline to register for the competition has been extended to Oct. 13, and dioramas will be on display during PEEPSFEST™ from Dec. 30-31 at the PBS39 Studios right next door to SteelStacks. The competition’s grand-prize winner will have the opportunity to drop the giant PEEPS® chick at PEEPSFEST™ on New Year’s Eve, and several other sweet prizes will be awarded.

The Lehigh Valley PEEPS® Scholastic Diorama Competition is open to students in four grade categories –- kindergarten through second grade; third through fifth grade; sixth through eighth grade; and ninth through 12th grade.  All dioramas should feature PEEPS®, but may also include other Just Born favorites such as MIKE AND IKE®, HOT TAMALES® and GOLDENBERG’S® PEANUT CHEWS®.

PEEPS® dioramas will be displayed at the PBS39 Studios during PEEPSFEST™ and festival attendees will vote for their favorites for the PEEPle’s Choice Award. In addition, a judging panel will select the Critic’s Choice winner in each of the four grade categories.  Winners will be announced Dec. 30 at 3 p.m., with the grand-prize winner invited to drop the 85-pound lighted PEEPS® Chick Dec. 31 at 5:15 p.m. All winning dioramas will also be displayed in the Just Born exhibit at the Sigal Museum in Easton in 2014 and receive PEEPS® Easter Candy Packages featuring Just Born candies.

Just Born will donate a limited number of PEEPS® and other Just Born candy to help students get their creative juices flowing. Schools are invited to submit as many entries as they like, but only the first 30 registrants and the competition’s winners are guaranteed to have their dioramas exhibited at PEEPSFEST™.
