Slingshot Dakota Release Party, Cunningham & Associates and Scott Marshall Coming to ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks

An album release party by Slingshot Dakota featuring three of the region’s hottest pop-rock acts; a tribute to The Stones and The Boss by Cunningham & Associates; and a performance by the popular Scott Marshall & Marshall’s Highway are the latest shows announced for the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. Tickets for the performances go on sale Feb. 8, 10 a.m., at steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.

On June 10, 7:30 p.m., the region is invited to enjoy music by some of the Lehigh Valley’s premier ladies of rock as Bethlehem-based Slingshot Dakota hosts an album release party in the ArtsQuest Center along with Summer Scouts and VoirVoir.

Slingshot DakotaSlingshot Dakota, the duo with no shortage of volume, energy and catchy tunes, burst onto the indie pop-rock scene more than 10 years ago and continues to grow its fan base through cross-country tours and features in national publications including pop-culture blog The A.V. Club. The party will celebrate the band’s new album, Break, which is available for pre-order now on topshelfrecords.com. A dollar from every pre-order of the album will be donated to Third St. Alliance for Women and Children.

Don CunninghamCunningham & Associates is a high-energy, six-piece band covering the best of blues, rock and soul. On March 16, 8 p.m., in the Musikfest Café, Don Cunningham, former Mayor of Bethlehem and current President & CEO of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp., and his band will present a night of nonstop hits from two iconic artists – Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones. With more than 30 years of collective experience playing in the Lehigh Valley music scene, these music veterans are favorites at venues and events throughout the region including Musikfest and the Lehigh Valley Christmas Concerts.

Lehigh Valley Music Award-winning artist Scott Marshall & Marshall’s Highway are decorated musicians playing whiskey-soaked Americana with something for everyone. Marshall’s music earned “Best Original Song” honors at the Lehigh Valley Music Awards in 2011 for “With Every New Day I Believe” and in 2013 for “Letters and Prayers.” You can see this dynamic group March 23, 7:30 p.m., at the Musikfest Cafe.
