The Lehigh Valley Music Awards (LVMA) ® is a prestigious annual extravaganza that honors, rewards and celebrates the music industry of the greater Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. It is held in March of each year. The LVMA is produced by The Greater Lehigh Valley Music Association (GLVMA) ®, an official non-profit volunteer organization designed to produce music related events throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley.

Lifetime Achievement Award (50 Years)

Jay Proctor

Jay & the Techniques hailed from Allentown, Pennsylvania, The group was born when lead vocalist Jay Proctor and second vocalist George “Lucky” Lloyd teamed with an all-white band, one of the first integrated groups in pop music.

Jay Proctor is one of the great American Soul Voices, who during his 60’s hit period was a contemporary favorite of the legendary Temptations. As leader of Jay & the Techniques, Jay scored two consecutive gold records with Apples Peaches Pumpkin Pie and Keep the Ball Rollin’

Once in a great while an artist, with a history and story so compelling, returns with a product so unique and masterful, that it demands serious attention! Such is JAY PROCTOR. Still Got Flow continues the musical journey of one of the most distinctive and recognized voices in all of Popular Music. Jay was honored 10 years ago by the LVMA’s for his dedication to music in the Lehigh Valley.

Stewart Brodian

This accomplished musician, composer, singer, actor, artist and filmmaker is also a local radio personality for WDIY Public Radio and a celebrity impersonator.

Tom Chaffier

Tom Chaffier has been the driving force behind the highly acclaimed Bethlehem based rock group Eighteenth Hour for 15 years. He has been an integral part of the Lehigh Valley original music scene since he debuted at the age of 17 with the groundbreaking band Eccentric Circles. Tom’s dynamic drumming resulted in him being a two-time winner of the LVMA Best Drummer award. His love for playing has led him to also be a member of the accomplished band Driver as well as the go-to studio & live fill-in drummer for numerous bands throughout the years.

Tom Marchak

Over the years, Marchak has performed in groups as diverse as punk bands Malicious Mischief and Nobody’s Heroes to The Connie Edinger Trio and the Connie & Tommy Duo.​

Scott Marshall

The leader of Marshall’s Highway and The Hillbilly Souls, Marshall is also a big supporter of the U.S. Military and Veterans.​

June Thomas

Thomas is a sought-after jazz vocalist/pianist and workshop facilitator who has played with regional jazz and blues artists for more than two decades.

Board of Directors Honorees

Royal Brown

Brown has supported the local music scene for decades through promoting fundraisers and community events at venues such as Pitchers Lounge in Allentown and The Bayou in Bethlehem, as well as booking appearances for local artists from throughout the Valley.

Isa Pereya

Director and editor of “Lehigh Valley Latino” magazine and director and host of the “Lehigh Valley Latino TV Show,” Pereya is the founder of the Golden Latin Awards, which are celebrating their 17th year in 2015.

Tower Suite Band

Featuring Mike Peters on keyboard and vocals, John Richetta on drums, and Joe Colarusso on percussion and vocals, this group performs across the country, has included numerous local musicians including Bev “BC” Conklin and June Thomas, is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2015.

Special Recognition

Jack Nine Films

The award-winning visual artist, director and entrepreneur with a catalog of more than 550 music videos, will receive a Special Recognition Award for excellence in standard in the Music Industry.

The awards ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. March 8 in the Musikfest Cafe at ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem.
