Bring the family out to Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) on Saturday, December 3 for the Kid’s Club programs at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts from 11 am to 2 pm and the Kid’s Club Christmas extravaganza every day from 12 – 4 pm!
HBMS has partnered with ArtsQuest, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to art, culture and educational programs, to create fun, artistic crafts from scratch that all kids will enjoy and parents can treasure.
Local multi-talented freelance artist Natalie Hartman leads winter Kid’s Club activities. Natalie’s background includes teaching arts & crafts at the Banana Factory to school age children. She also runs after-school art programs for local elementary and middle schools.
Learn this no-sew technique to create a colorful fringe fleece scarf that will be sure to keep you warm during the winter months. Parents will love the Baby, It’s Cold Outside, an exhibition that features a collection of winter wear, quilts, and warming devices that helped keep people cozy during the coldest months of the year.
Don’t miss your chance to do all of your favorite Kid’s Club crafts from 2016 from creating your own illuminated cityscape to making a personalized room sign to designing a pet bandana and more! Not only a fun activity, these kids’ crafts make the most adorable Christmas gifts! Get crafty this Christmas season and join us during museum hours to see where your creativity takes you!
After completing your Kid’s Club craft, see the Christmas carol-inspired Trees of Historic Bethlehem on display at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts from November 18, 2016 to January 15, 2017!
All Kid’s Club programs are free for kids ages up to 17 and HBMS members. For non-members 13 and older, Kid’s Club activities are free with admission to the museum starting at $12.
