Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley (HFHLV), a regional provider of homes for hardworking families, is pleased to announce the hiring of Holly Edinger as its new Executive Director. Jessica Elliott, the Director of Operations, served capably and well as Interim Executive Director ensuring organizational stability during the transition. Under Jess’s leadership, with strong support from the staff, the 12th Annual HFHLV “Toast to Hope” event was a huge success.
“The Board would like to compliment the very capable staff who kept our operations running smoothly during the search for a new Executive Director. Despite being short-handed, the staff achieved yet another, very successful Toast to Hope fundraiser this year,” said standing Board member, Harold Black. Holly Edinger began her term as Executive Director of HFHLV this week. Her role is to provide overall management, lead fundraising efforts and act as the primary contact for outreach and partnerships.
“After a rigorous search and interview process that considered credentials submitted by more than one hundred applicants, the HFHLV Board is excited to welcome Holly as the Executive Director. Both Kelly Berfield, the outgoing Chair and I as the Chair-elect for the Board, personally look forward to working with Holly to further the mission of our affiliate,” stated incoming Board Chairman, Brian A. Dillman, P.E. of The Pidcock Company.
Edinger brings over 20 years of management experience to the organization that includes community relations, brownfields redevelopment and major grant administration. Previously, she was the Director of Community and Government Affairs for Sacred Heart Healthcare Systems, where she led the community health efforts for the system. Edinger also served as a program director for the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation for seven years. Edinger’s early career included brand management in New York and positions as a main street manager in Allentown and Quakertown. Edinger received her Bachelor of Science from Philadelphia University in 1997. She and her family moved back to Allentown in 2003. Edinger is the current Vice-Chairperson of the Board of LANta and a board member of the Housing Association Development Corporation. She is a former Director for the Allentown School District.
