 Four New Food Favorites Join Gourmet Getaway

 Central Bucks Chamber Event Helps Local Women in Need

  With the addition of four more local restaurants, the Gourmet Getaway will feature food and drink from 22 of the area’s finest.

Included are: Bobbie Simone’s Restaurant and Bar, Borghi ‘s Restaurant, Buckingham Valley Vineyards, Chaddsford Winery, Chambers 19 Bistro and Bar, Crazee Daisee Creations, DiSh Catering, Doug’s Cakes, HEAVEN ON A PLATE Personal Chef Service, Laurie’s Chocolates, New Hope Winery, Ooka, The Plumsteadville Inn, Sand Castle Winery, Soup to Nuts Caterers, Spring Mill Manor & Country Club, The Talking Teacup, Taste, Town Crier Bakery, Villa Barolo, Vintage Grille and Wegmans. The Getaway is Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland from 5:30 to 8 p.m.  Tickets for the event are $45. All proceeds benefit the Women in Business Scholarship Program. Since 1983, the Chamber has awarded over $239,564 in scholarships to more than 90 deserving women.

Live entertainment will be provided by Lou Pompilio Entertainment. Lou has over 40 years of experience, including the Berklee School of Music, on- and off- Broadway, big bands, jazz bands and dance bands.

The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Scholarship Fund assists women who have overcome substantial challenges and wish to re-enter the workforce by educating themselves. Scholarships are awarded toBucksCounty women at least 25 years or older,U.S. citizens, beginning or continuing their education, who can demonstrate educational merit and financial need. One hundred percent of the proceeds are distributed directly to the accredited institution the recipient will be attending. These strong, courageous women need the financial support to help them achieve their career goals and help them gain personal and professional success.
