The Southern California-based Echosmith consists of siblings Sydney (vocals/keyboard), Jamie (vocals/guitar), Noah (vocals/bass) and Graham Sierota (drums). The band was deemed “one of the biggest breakout acts of 2015” by Jimmy Fallon, thanks to its platinum hit “Cool Kids,” follow-up gold smash “Bright” and new single “Let’s Love.” The group has been featured by the likes of Rolling Stone, USA Today, Billboard, TeenVogue and ELLE, the latter of which called “Cool Kids” “an ageless anthem.”
In 2014, Echosmith was named both an MTV “Artist to Watch” and a VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist. It has performed on television shows ranging from Ellen and the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, to Live! With Kelly and Michael and Late Night with Seth Meyers. The group has performed as part of popular festivals and tours including Firefly Music Festival and the Vans Warped Tour (2013 and 2014), with audiences known to sing along at its shows.
“I remember the first time it [the audience singing along] happened on Warped [Tour], it seemed so weird to me,” says Sydney. “I’d get chills every time – even though it was 110 degrees. It’s just so cool to see other people as passionate about the band as we are.”
The Echosmith show is presented by B104 and ArtsQuest. For more information on the Musikfest Café, located at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, visit www.steelstacks.org or follow SteelStacks on Facebook.
