Join Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites at its third annual Apple Days on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 from 10 am to 4 pm at Burnside Plantation, 1499 Schoenersville Road, for an exciting, newly expanded Apple Days baking contest. Enter your own original irresistible apple recipe for a chance to win first or second prize!
New Apple Days baking contest categories include Kids Under 15 on Saturday at 11 am and Gluten Free Apple Treats on Sunday at 11 am. Returning this year is the My Favorite Apple Pie category on both Saturday and Sunday at noon.
The contest is open to amateur chefs. Judges will be considering each entry’s filling, crust, overall flavor, originality and general appeal. Our primary judges are Richard Groman of the famed Groman’s Bakery and Mary Grube, host of Easy Eats on WFMZ-TV.
Registration for the baking contest closes on Wednesday, September 7.
Entries must be prepared at home and brought to Apple Days between 10:45 – 11 am. Registration forms are available online at www.historicbethlehem.org and may be mailed along with a $5 entry fee, payable by check, to Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, 74 W. Broad St., Suite 260, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Registration may also be completed online at www.historicbethlehem.org.
