Oktoberfest presented by Yuengling and the Brewers of Pennsylvania are once again partnering to shine the spotlight on the Keystone State’s dynamic craft breweries with tasting sessions at the Brewers Village at Oktoberfest Oct.  9-10. Tickets for the two-hour tasting sessions, in which attendees can sample more than 25 different beers, are $30 ($25 for ArtsQuest Members) and are on sale at www.steelstacks/oktoberfest and 610-332-3378. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to support the free programming at Oktoberfest, as well as the programs of the nonprofit Brewers of Pennsylvania.

One of the hits of Oktoberfest when it debuted last fall, the Brewers Village features some of the state’s finest craft brewers showcasing a variety of beers including Oktoberfests, limited-edition and seasonal offerings. Tasting sessions take place Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. All attendees receive a commemorative sampling mug and have the opportunity to meet the breweries’ staff and brewers, as well as enjoy the live music, delicious food, fun and games of Oktoberfest, celebrating its fifth year.

“In addition to helping support general operations, proceeds from this event will also be directed toward the Brewers of Pennsylvania campaign to help restore the Frederick Lauer statue in Reading City Park,” says Dan LaBert, Executive Director of the Brewers of Pennsylvania. “Having the opportunity to partner with a progressive and forward-thinking organization such as ArtsQuest clearly demonstrates that Oktoberfest by Yuengling is a professional and well-run festival.
