HorseLast Chance Ranch Holding 2nd Annual Gala at SteelStacks April 11

Supports nonprofit animal rescue’s expansion and community education programs

Last Chance Ranch is inviting the community to come together to help support animals in need through its Boots, Barks & Bowties Gala at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, April 11, 5 p.m.  The event, a fund-raiser to support the expansion of the animal rescue ranch, will include live and silent auctions featuring once-in-a-lifetime trips, sports tickets, jewelry and world-class artwork. Tickets are $80 in advance and $95 on the day of event; they’re on sale now at www.lastchanceranch.org.

Highlighting this year’s auction of more than 60 items are a six-day trip to an ocean-front villa in Anguilla; one Lamar Advertising billboard valued at up to $15,000; and premium tickets to the region’s professional sports teams including the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Flyers and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.  Topping it all off is the auction of “Wild Splendor,” a Lorenzo Ghiglieri bronze statue valued at $17,500.  Ghiglieri’s masterpieces are prized around the globe and found in the collections of the White House, the Vatican and Luciano Pavarotti.

Adding to the festive nature of the evening, guests are encouraged to wear their best boots to win a variety of door prizes. The gala will also feature live music by Steve Cofield & Sweet, an open bar and delicious hors d’oeuvres.

Last year’s Last Chance Ranch gala raised more than $30,000 to support Last Chance Ranch’s mission and animal rehabilitation programs. Proceeds from this year’s event will be used to expand the 35-acre ranch’s facilities so the nonprofit can care for even more animals, as well as increase its educational programs for the community.

Last Chance Ranch is a public, volunteer-based nonprofit organization focused on rescuing and rehabilitating horses and domestic companion animals including dogs and cats. The ranch promotes and educates the public about humane and responsible treatment of animals, while providing a safe and secure refuge for abused, unwanted and neglected animals. Services offered by the rescue facility include treatment for physical and emotional issues and helping to place the rehabilitated animals in new homes.
