CEDARBROOK NURSING HOME, Allentown needs a volunteer for their Gift Shop from 12:30-3:30 on Thursdays.  Their residents love coming to the gift shop to browse and purchase small items.  Just 3 hours a week can make a wonderful difference to their residents.  Training and background clearances will be provided.  Call Kerry Magliane, 610-336-5684, kerrymagliane@lehighcounty.org.

CENTER FOR VISION LOSS, Allentown is looking for volunteers to be “Annie’s Angels” to do home visits, read mail, and provide companionship.  Volunteers to drive customers to doctor appointments, shopping, or center activities are also needed.  Hours are flexible and are determined by need.  Training will be provided.  Call Rita Lang, 610-433-6018, rita.lang@centerforvisionloss.org.

COMMUNITY BIKE WORKS, Allentown needs “Earn-A-Bike” instructors for children ages 9-17.  Volunteers will mentor and assist children in repairing bicycles.  Commitment is 6-8pm one night a week for 12 weeks.  No experience necessary.  Training provided.  Call Dave Edinger, 610-434-1140, dedinger@communitybikeworks.org.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE, Whitehall needs volunteer help (16+ years) with sorting, pricing, and organizing donated light fixtures, lamps, home décor, furniture, and more.  Shifts are available ONLY ON WEDNESDAY.  Email Camille@habitat.org for details.

ITTY BITTY KITTY, INC., Allentown needs volunteers to help at their Purse Bingo Fundraiser from 9:30am-5pm on Sunday 4/23 in Emmaus.  Volunteers will help set up tables and raffle baskets and help people purchase their boards and other items for the bingo.    Call Kathy Kuzo, 610-973-7400, ittybittykitty@bdog.org.

LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville needs volunteers to be an integral part of their Zoo family to help provide Smart fun for over 200,000 visitors annually.  Volunteers help in all areas of the Zoo, including animal exhibits, events, conservation messaging, activities, development, marketing, and maintenance.  They are looking for volunteers to make a Zoo visit an experience to remember for a lifetime.  Call Julia Bieski, 610-799-4171, jbieski@lvzoo.org.

MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown needs volunteers (18+ years) to go grocery shopping for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities in an area of Lehigh County that works best for you.  Flexible scheduling based on client’s needs (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).  A 40 minute orientation is required.  Orientation scheduled for Wednesday 3/22 @6:30pm and Friday 3/24 @1pm or call/email to schedule a one-on-one that fits your schedule.  Call Lindsay Fly, 610-841-7132, lfly@mealsonwheelslc.org.
