On view at Twisted Olive, a series of abstract landscape paintings in oil, and mixed media on canvas, and lively watercolors on paper by Tina Cantelmi Bradford. The Exhibit is now to March 2, 2015
“Changing color, light, shapes and patterns are integral to what we see each day and through the seasons. My work is an attempt to capture a place, a memory, or a pattern that we see in nature, abstracted, to allow the viewer their own personal interpretation of a scene.”
Her work has been exhibited at Ambre’ Studio, Bethlehem, PA, at Alfred University, Alfred, New York, and at Moravian College. Her paintings and ceramic sculptures are in private collections. Cantelmi Bradford earned a B.F.A. from Alfred University, and post graduation, worked in the fashion industry in New York City, where she lent her creative eye to the fashion industry as a fashion editor and stylist.
In the Lehigh Valley, Cantelmi Bradord serves as a features writer, social columnist, and as a public relations and social media professional. Cantelmi recalls recently finding a certificate for winning First Place for the Scholastic Scholarship Art Award as a high school senior at Freedom High. The honor earned her a solo exhibit at The Kemerer Museum in 1976.
“Clearly, finding that long lost certificate and award money was a way of saying, it’s time to return to my love for painting on more full time basis,” she sums.
