Plunge for a Purpose scheduled to April 8th

This is a wonderful opportunity to chill out and take a quick dip in the lake to help build homes, communities, and hope!

You may be wondering what a Polar Plunge is exactly – The Polar Plunge is a creative way to support Habitat Lehigh Valley by plunging into icy cold water. Doing a Polar Plunge may even be on your bucket list, so this is a great way to check it off your list while also supporting affordable housing.

Over the past 6 months just here in the Lehigh Valley,  over 200 individuals inquire about affordable housing. Unfortunately, many families in the community, usually single mothers with young children, suffer from living in substandard housing – in apartments with mold, rodents, and leaks. All funds raised at the Polar Plunge go right back into serving hardworking, low-income families.

All you have to do is raise a minimum of $50. You can plunge as an individual or come as a team with your friends. All participants can register through a complimentary fundraising page that they can share with their friends and family to raise funds. Fun costumes are highly encouraged! At 10am, the costumes will be judged and the winning costume will receive the 2017 Best Costume Award. There will also be awards given to the top individual fundraiser and the top fundraising team.
