ALEXIS P. SUTER, FOOD TRUCKS & MORE HIGHLIGHT LEVITT PAVILION STEELSTACKS’ SUMMER CONCERT SERIES FINALE SEPT. 21

Alexis P. Suter BandThe community is invited to celebrate the end of summer with a double dose of live music at the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks Summer Concert Series finale presented by Highmark Blue Shield, in association with the national Levitt Pavilions Sept. 21. The evening will feature a headlining performance at 7 p.m. by the Alexis P. Suter Band, as well as a concert by Common Bond at 9 p.m. and food trucks offering delicious fare.

Hailing from the New York City region, the Alexis P. Suter Band is a six-piece musical sensation that has taken the roots, blues and soul scene by storm. Breaking from stereotypes of typical blues bands, they play an eclectic mix of blues, gospel, folk and familiar covers. Led by vocal powerhouse Alexis P. Suter, the band has played a variety of prestigious festivals, including the Toronto Waterfront Blues Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, New York State Blues Festival and Musikfest.

Prior to the concert, the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks Volunteer of the Year Award will be presented. In addition, concert attendees will be able to enjoy great eats from Mr. Bill’s Poultry at the Mack Truck Stop, as well as two food trucks – Sugar and Spice Pies and the Fud Truk. Among the many delicious dishes that will be available are Sugar and Spice Pies’ Pulled Pork Pie with Pickled Onions and Apple & Orange Coleslaw; falafel by the Fud Truck; and chicken sausage sandwiches and chicken cheesesteaks from Mr. Bill’s. All three food vendors are donating a portion of their proceeds to help support the Levitt Pavilion’s summer concert series.

The 2013 Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series presented by Highmark Blue Shield is the Levitt Pavilion’s most successful to date, with more than 50,000 people attending 50-plus shows at the outdoor music venue.
