Called the “Sistine Chapel of popular music” by Rolling Stone, The Moody Blues have sold in more than 70 million albums worldwide while producing 14 platinum and gold discs.  Formed in 1964 in Birmingham, England, the group was one of the key artists to come out of the British Invasion, first hitting the mainstream with its monumental 1967 release “Days of Future Passed.“

Over the decades, The Moody Blues have produced a number of well-known hits including the anthems  “Nights In White Satin” and “Tuesday Afternoon,” as well as “Ride My See Saw,” “The Story In Your Eyes,” “Isn’t Life Strange,” “Question,” “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band),” “Your Wildest Dreamsand “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere.” Through the years, the group has continued to produce music that bridges the gap between the classical and pop-rock genres without wavering in their integrity and commitment. With the altruistic inflections of guitarist/vocalist Justin Hayward, bassist/vocalist John Lodge and drummer Graeme Edge, the band’s sound has held its ground with exquisite harmonies over and over again, in a genre of music that is ever-changing.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Moody Blues’ formation. Starting March 5, the group will embark on its Timeless Flight Tour, a major trek that will take them across the U.S. Fans of the Moody Blues will also want to visit www.musikfest.org starting tomorrow to find out how they can enter to win an amazing VIP experience courtesy of Musikfest and TD Bank that includes the opportunity to meet their favorite band, get front-row seats and enjoy a festival experience unlike any other.
