Turning PointTurning Point’s mission is threefold:

  1. Work toward the elimination of domestic violence.
  2. Increase community awareness of the problem.
  3. Empower victims of domestic violence by providing shelter and support services.

Turning Point is the Lehigh Valley’s only non-profit organization that is dedicated to eliminating domestic violence. Our work involves educating and supporting abuse victims in order to help them discover their strengths and abilities so they can walk away from fear, isolation and desperation.

Turning Point believes it is important to increase community awareness of domestic violence through educational presentations and training seminars to various groups.When women, alone or with children, are forced to flee a violent household, Turning Point’s emergency shelter, is here to give them a safe haven. The agency has the capacity to shelter 8 families each night.

Other services include court advocacy, counseling, support groups, a family services program, and a transitional living program. All services are free and confidential, and are provided without regard to race, income, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, ethnicity or religious affiliation.
