‘OUR HOMETOWN HEROES’

Photo Display at SteelStacks Memorial Day Weekend

Embassy Bank is inviting the community to submit photos of family members, neighbors and friends who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces for the third-annual ‘Our Hometown Heroes’ display at SteelStacks Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28. The display will include hundreds of images of local servicemen and women from all branches of the military.

Submissions for Our Hometown Heroes are being accepted at www.artsquest.org/memorialday from April 1-30. Photos should be high-resolution images in one of the following file formats: jpeg, tiff, bitmap or PDF file. Color and black & white photographs may also be dropped off at any Lehigh Valley Embassy Bank branch. All print photos will be returned and may be picked up at the Banana Factory, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, from May 1-14. Each submitted photo will be displayed on one of the Our Hometown Heroes banners on the SteelStacks campus and include the soldier’s rank, branch, dates of service and hometown.

“The response to Our Hometown Heroes has been amazing with more than 200 images submitted over the past two years,” says Embassy Bank CEO, President and Chairman Dave Lobach Jr. “This display is the perfect opportunity for the Lehigh Valley to express its appreciation for our local military who protect and serve our great country every day. We are extremely proud to sponsor the Memorial Day weekend at SteelStacks, and we encourage everyone to stop and show their support for our troops.”

The Memorial Day Celebration presented by Embassy Bank includes three days of music, family activities and programming designed to salute all past and current members of the military. The weekend will conclude with a Memorial Service on May 28 honoring those who have lost their lives while serving and protecting our nation. Complete details on the 2013 Memorial Day events and activities at SteelStacks will be announced later this spring.
