Comedian and Saturday Night Live alumnus Colin Quinn
and English rock group the Psychedelic Furs will perform at
the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem

On April 2, 8:30 p.m., the Musikfest Café will welcome The Psychedelic Furs for a 7:30 p.m. show; tickets are $34-$44.

psychedelic fursLed by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler and his bass-wielding brother Tim, The Psychedelic Furs won over fans and critics alike by combining poetic lyrics, innovative rhythms and melodies driven by an aggressive, punk desperation. The group’s self-titled debut in 1980 was a Top 20 hit in the UK and quickly established the band in Europe, while its 1981 release Talk Talk Talk saw the group make its debut on the U.S. album charts.  Over the years, the Furs scored a number of major hits including ”Love My Way,” “Pretty In Pink,” “Heaven,” “The Ghost In You” and “Heartbreak Beat.” The band’s touring lineup remains Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass), Rich Good (guitar), Mars Williams (saxophone), Amanda Kramer (keyboards) and Paul Garisto (drums).

On April 19, 8 p.m., comedian Colin Quinn will drop by the Musikfest Café as part of his Unconstitutional Tour; tickets for the performance are $35-$40.

Colin QuinnA native of Brooklyn, Quinn began his stand-up career in New York as a regular on the comedy club circuit. He made his television debut as co-host of MTV’s popular game show Remote Control, and in 1995 he landed a spot on Saturday Night Live, where he entertained audiences for five seasons.

After SNL, Quinn tackled social issues on Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn, in which he served as the show’s host, creator and executive producer, from 2002-’04. In addition to his television work, he has appeared in numerous films including A Night at the Roxbury, Comedian and Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups. Quinn’s first one-man show, Sanctifying Grace, began off-Broadway in 1994 and was later produced as Colin Quinn—An Irish Wake and played at the Helen Hayes Theatre. In 2010, he returned to the Helen Hayes Theatre and starred in the hit Broadway and Emmy-nominated show Colin Quinn Long Story Short.

In addition to the Colin Quinn and Psychedelic Furs concert, the ArtsQuest Center is presenting an April 2, 7:30 p.m., Fowler Blast Furnace Room show with Psychic Medium Lauri Moore.  Tickets for Moore, who sold out when she visited the ArtsQuest Center in October, are $15.
